09 Nov „Subotica – European City of Interculturality“ held in Subotica
Seminar called „Subotica – European City of Interculturality”was held on April 17th in the Subotica City Hall, with guests from the Council of Europe and the city of Reggio Emilia. On this promotional event, of the Network of the Intercultural Cities, of which City of Subotica is one of the founding members, panelists were Miroslava Babi
, member of the City Council for Culture of City of Subotica; Irena Guidikova, Program Director of the Cultural Sector of the Council of Europe; Nicoletta Mancini, member of the City Council for International Projects of the City of Reggio Emilia; and Stanka Parać Damjanović, Director of the Local Democracy Agency Subotica. The aim of the seminar was to introduce and develop the activities of the city of Subotica within the framework of the joint EU programme and the Council of Europe: European Network of Intercultural Cities.
The seminar was organized by the City of Subotica in cooperation with the Local Democracy Agency Subotica, as part of the project „Subotica – European City of Interculturality“ funded by the Provincial Secretariat for Regional Development, Interregional Cooperation and Local Self-Governement.
The Network (https://www.coe.int/en/web/interculturalcities) has over 100 European cities from most of the Council of Europe member states and uses a number of possibilities of financial instruments supporting the European Union in the field of culture, local inclusive and sustainable development.
